Storm information

This weekend's storm is expected to include extended periods of strong winds, rough seas, and rain Friday through Monday. A high wind advisory has been issued for the Westerly area expecting sustained winds of 30-40mph, and peak gusts of 45-60mph. Rain totals are expected to be 2-3 inches over the duration of the storm.

Make sure to secure any loose items that are outside. Do not leave pets outdoors.

If you lose power, and use a gas powered generator, make sure the generator has appropriate ventilation and do not run it indoors.

Avoid going outdoors if possible during the storm.

Never attempt to drive through flooded areas and do not drive near or over down power lines or tree branches.

Please stay off of breachways and walls near the ocean, and do not go into the water. Waves are expected to be very high and powerful.

Updates will be posted on the town facebook page and the Town website as they become available.
